Air China launches direct flight to Copenhagen

Air China opens its first route between Beijing and Copenhagen. The airline will provide a four-times a week service.

When

Together with Star Alliance partner SAS, Air China’s new route means there are now a total of 11 weekly flights between the two capitals. SAS also flies to Shanghai, while Cathay Pacific has just opened a route from Hong Kong to Copenhagen.

Invest in Denmark together with Copenhagen Capacity has advised Air China in the process of setting up the new route. In particular, Invest in Denmark and Copenhagen Capacity played an active part in relation to questions pertaining to local staff, logistics and accommodation for cabin crew – from assistance in visa application and office location matters to meetings with local recruitment companies.

Air China’s new direct flight from Copenhagen to Beijing is great news. Last year more than 110,000 Chinese business people and tourists came to Denmark via Copenhagen Airport. This new route will create even better opportunities for interaction. The route will strengthen Copenhagen as an international hub and provide attractive new business opportunities.
