Great news closes out this year for foreign companies looking to establish a business in Denmark. A partial agreement, within the Danish financial act, will see to develop a supplementary positive list that allows foreign labour to apply for jobs in certain industries where Denmark lacks labour.

It has been a problem in certain industries to find, attract and retain employees in Denmark. The new agreement will therefore have a positive impact on companies who now have the opportunity to recruit workers outside of EU.
We are positive because the companies have had big challenges in recruiting qualified employees - especially skilled labour has been a challenge. This new agreement will make it possible for us to secure jobs in Denmark. When there are no employees to perform certain tasks, companies can very easily move job assignments to a location outside of Denmark, where they can find the right and available workforce. The conciliation parties agreed that the concrete list of industries will be defined in dialogue with all concerned within the labour market. The new positive list becomes effective the 1st of July 2020. Every five years, the agreement will be evaluated.
