The Global Talent Competitiveness Index 2017 puts Copenhagen ahead of Zurich, Helsinki, San Francisco and Gothenburg in its first ever cities ranking, comparing 46 cities worldwide.

Copenhagen ranks in top five in four out of six pillars constituting the city index:

  • No. 1 on Grow (learning and universities)
  • No. 1 on Build global knowledge (tertiary enrolment and global networks)
  • No. 3 on Enable (urbanization and clusters)

Copenhagen takes the top spot due to the city’s ability to communicate Nordic values in management and lifestyle and its ability to implement a holistic strategy of attracting and retaining talent.
