Ever since humans discovered fire, human activity has resulted in waste of some sort or the other. Today the reduction, reuse and management of waste is one the biggest challenges that humanity faces. Our landfills are overflowing, our oceans are strewn with micro plastics and our air is filled with pollutants. Waste that pollutes our air, water and food. Waste that harms every other living thing on the planet.
Is there a new way of looking at waste? What if waste were seen as a resource instead of a burden? What if the entire global economy was circular by its very nature? These are the questions we explore in episode 3 of Clean, Green, Renewable, Sustainable.
As before, we have two experts who will be speaking during this webinar. Chartlotte Gjedde is Head of Partnerships at State of Green, a Danish not-for-profit, public-private partnership. Manik Dhingra is co-founder of Shoonya Environmental Solutions, a company that is helping manage and process waste across India.
