Experience new drone technologies in action, network and hear talks from some of the biggest players in Europe’s drone industry at the International Drone Show (IDS) on 29 August 2023 at HCA Airport in Odense, Denmark. 

The annual conference and expo event attracts hundreds of visitors to see live demos, visit the expo and gain new insights from researchers, developers and end users on key topics. Visitors can also choose to end the day with an informal networking dinner.

This year, highlights include exciting panel discussions and talks with prominent figures from the industry - such as:

  • Morten Hvalsøe-Dybdahl, Major & Branch Chief UAS / C-UAS, Forsvarsministeriets Materiel- og Indkøbsstyrelse (DALO), will present his insights on market segmentation and project plan existing and future acquisitions.
  • Ulrik Max Nielsen, Founder of Plan2Fly, will talk about how they emplower drone pilots through digital mission planning at Plan2Fly.
  • Arkadiusz Żurek, Scientific Assistant at Autonomous Systems Division, Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (branch of Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), will share his insights on the benefits of indoor autonomous UAS systems for logistics and Industry 4.0.

  • Anders Martinsen, CEO of UAS Norway, will moderate a panel discussion with CAAs from the Nordic countries focused on what the future of drone integration in the Nordic airspace could look like, what is needed to achieve it, and how we secure it safely and efficiently. 
  • Lee Harris, Senior Aviation Lead at Vattenfall, will present his take on how to increase UAV deployment in the offshore wind industry.
  • Kim Silander, Founder of Kookiejar of Sweden and IBG - Independent Business Group, will discuss vertiport use in society and share his insights.

  • Ole Madsen, Technical Sales Manager at Gatehouse Satcom, Denmark, will present insights on the use of digital twins for validating satellite connections to drones.
