French Enosis chooses Denmark to scale green gas innovation

It was during a fact-finding mission on biogas and Power-to-X to Denmark, that the French cleantech company Enosis’ CEO, Vincent Guerré, decided that the company needed to become part of the innovative Danish ecosystem to develop further. He was impressed by site visits and talks with sector experts visiting several sites across academia and commercial operations, and holding discussions with a Danish DSO and local authority. Since then, Invest in Denmark has supported Enosis every step of the way.

When

Enosis had at that time decided to scale up, and having seen how the biogas and Power-to-gas sector rapidly develops in Denmark, Denmark quickly stood out as the natural choice, also as the entry point for their international expansion towards the Nordic countries. 

The company, which develops breakthrough solutions for transforming CO₂ emissions into renewable methane, has now established an affiliated company in Denmark and appointed a local country lead to drive project development.

Enosis’ technology is based on biological methanation; a process that captures CO₂ from waste streams and converts it into renewable methane using hydrogen from renewable electrolysis. Instead of venting CO₂ from biogas plants or industrial gases, Enosis’ process upcycles it into grid-ready green gas.

At the company’s flagship DENOBIO project in France, this approach boosted methane output by more than 50% without using additional biomass. The solution is cost-efficient, scalable, and ready to integrate into existing infrastructure, providing both environmental and economic value.
