Denmark
is home to one of the strongest life science clusters in the world, and Triple
Ring Technologies emphasizes its attractiveness to the large MedTech-companies
as well as the easy access to skilled employees recruited directly from the many
universities in Greater Copenhagen. Aside from being drawn by the favourable Danish
framework conditions, such as access to funding from the Danish Growth Fund and
the Danish Innovation Fund, Christina Pedersen adds that:
“The labour force is actually less expensive [in Greater Copenhagen] compared to Silicon Valley.”
The purpose of the Danish establishment is among other things to identify investment opportunities in European start-ups. The company aims at entering partnership agreements with various incubators and potential collaborators in the life science environment, and is currently in dialogue with the Danish life science incubator, BioInnovation Institute (BII), founded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
