The Danish Life Sciences Cluster Biopeople has been awarded continued gold label status status among cluster organizations in EU with a score of 98 % in the so-called Cluster Management Excellence Score.

The European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA) describes Biopeople as a very mature cluster organization, based on a sound management approach and driven by a committed team. Biopeople is characterised as well positioned to drive its strategy in 2016-2018, which is focused on the interaction between strategic areas as precision medicine, the overall paradigm shift in health care and the collaboration between SME’s and academia within life sciences.
We are very happy to continue our Gold Label status. This is not only a recognition of our work to link researchers and companies within life science in Denmark, Gold Label furthermore gives us opportunities to be part of new promising collaboration projects, funded by Danish and European authorities respectively. A good example is the newly launched project regarding biomarkers as a promising growth area, where we partner up with both BrandBase and InFinIT.

Biopeople is Denmark's life sciences cluster located at the University of Copenhagen.
The cluster is a catalyst for collaboration between companies and public research, and it is the cluster's strategic priority to support the paradigm shift in the health care sector, implying a strengthened focus on biomarkers, companion diagnostics, precision / personalised medicine, regulatory science and stakeholder involvement, incl. patient and investor communities.
The cluster partnership embeds all major public and private research and education in Denmark, a large number of private companies plus the Danish Medicines Agency.
