Denmark is the easiest place in Europe to do business
The World Bank points to the efficiency of the public sector in Denmark as one of the main reasons for Denmark’s prominent ranking in the report.
Predictable and efficient processes related to issues like construction permits, contracts and trade across borders, significantly limits uncertainty and allows companies investing in Denmark to concentrate on their business objectives. We simply know that a structured, ordered environment produces trust and enables increased cooperation and people to perform on a higher level. Hence, I am pleased that Denmark continues to maintain a top position on this well-respected ranking.
Denmark has been in the global top five – and number one in Europe – for nine years in a row. Since 2017, a reform making contract enforcement easier by launching an electronic platform has been among the initiatives to improve the business environment in Denmark even further.
