Exclusive roundtable discussion on opportunities for phase IV and related studies in Denmark

Invest in Denmark will host a life sciences roundtable discussion in New York City on March 28 2019. The focus will be the opportunities in Denmark for phase IV and related studies.

The roundtable discussion will include a presentation by Professor Vera Ehrenstein, MPH, DSc with the Department of Clinical Epidemiology (DCE) at Aarhus University in Denmark focusing on the DCE’s long-standing experience with conducting phase IV and related studies in Denmark.

Professor Ehrenstein also currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE) and of the Steering Committee of the European Centres of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP).

Discover how DCE can become a valuable partner

DCE is an academic department at Aarhus University, providing research consulting services to private and public organisations within Denmark and internationally.

DCE plans and coordinates all major types of epidemiologic studies, including regulator-mandated post authorisation safety studies (PASS), drug utilisation studies, comparative effectiveness studies, studies of clinical course of disease and associated health costs and studies to validate algorithms.

Most research is done using routinely collected real-world data from Danish national registries with complete population coverage and exact individual-level linkage. DCE has capacity and experience in primary data collection and in research employing biological samples.

As a frequent coordinator of large multinational investigations, DCE is experienced in multinational collaboration involving various levels of data sharing and is familiar with data access legislation in different countries. DCE’s research staff counts physician experts in all major clinical areas, biostatisticians and basic scientists. Several of the world’s top pharmacoepidemiologists are members of the DCE’s external faculty.
