Part 1 of Invest in Denmark webinar series - Clean, Green, Renewable, Sustainable

The CGRS series of dialogues explores a few values that are dear to both countries, India and Denmark. The ideas of sustainability, inclusion, renewability and responsible consumption are key values for the people of Denmark. India values frugality, environmental protection, entrepreneurship and inclusive growth. CGRS is an exploration of the areas of similarity and divergence in the ethos of the two countries. 

The Green Agenda is important for both India and Denmark and Smart City collaborations exist. This opens up interesting opportunities for Indian and Danish companies to partner and work together.

Episode 1

In Episode 1 of the CGRS series, we explore the idea of Re-Imagining the City. It seems almost certain that by 2050, 2/3rds of the world population will live in a city or an urban agglomeration. Two of the key aspects that we explore in this episode of CGRS are Mobility and Livability.

Episode 1 of CGRS features 2 experienced speakers: 

Camilla van Deurs is the Chief City Architect for the City of Copenhagen. Camilla will speak about how architects and planners are playing an essential role in helping Copenhagen implement greener solutions while maintaining the high standard livability which the city is known.

Dr. Ashwin Mahesh is a social technologist, urbanist and entrepreneur based in Bangalore, India. He is a founder of the technology lab, Mapunity, which builds urban social networking platforms and tools. He is also a co-founder of Lithium, which operates the first and largest fleet of electric cars in India. Ashwin will speak about the current state and future of Urban Mobility.

The CGRS series will be moderated by, Suresh Venkat, journalist/designer.
