Denmark has one of the highest internet penetrations in the world, and as the online platform is the backbone of our business concept, this was an important parameter when we chose Denmark as location for our first international office. E-loue is a successful online market place that allows both individuals and professionals to rent out equipment of any kind, from sports gear over dresses to garden tools. Contrary to many other sharing economy platforms, E-loue is not only peer-to-peer, but is also open to companies.
According to a recent study by Gallup, the sharing economy market has tripled over the last year, and through E-loue, professional businesses can get their share of this growing market.
Professional partners have a high priority in E-loue’s concept and they develop dedicated online strategies for each of them. E-Loue is also looking for other types of Danish partners, for instance in regard to peer to peer insurance of the products, which is part of the service delivered to the users of the platform.
“I am convinced that business concepts like E-Loue are part of the future and I think that we have an interesting offer for Danish businesses that want to become part of this new economy,” says Valéry Lepinette.
As a next step, the ambition is to use the new office in Copenhagen as a Nordic headquarter, with the Oresund Region encompassing Southern Sweden and the Danish capital region as a starting point.
