How do I get started in Denmark?
The Danish government has initiated Start-up Denmark as the one-point-of-entry for talented entrepreneurs to relocate and grow high-impact start-ups in Denmark. The programme is targeted early-stage businesses and can accept up to 2 founders. If accepted, you can get a residence and work permit for up to 2 years, with the possibility of extension for an additional 3 years.
Start-up Denmark is only open for applicants from non-EU (European Union) and non-EEA (European Economic Area) countries. If you are a resident of the EU or EEA and you would like to join the Danish ecosystem, please click here to find further information.
Who is eligible to apply?
In order to be approved via the Start-up Denmark programme, your business must have high growth potential and a global market scope.
The programme prioritises innovative, scalable solutions. As such, businesses such as restaurants, retail shops and import/export enterprises are usually not considered.
