Strong Danish presence in the 2025 Corporate Knights global sustainability ranking

Danish companies are strongly represented in the newly published 2025 Corporate Knights ranking of the world's 100 most sustainable businesses - with six companies making the list, more than any other Nordic country.

Denmark is home to some of the world’s best-performing companies when it comes to sustainability, according to the 2025 edition of the annual Corporate Knights ranking. The list evaluates the world’s 100 most sustainable companies based on 25 metrics across a range of relevant parameters (see box below for more details).

The 2025 ranking reinforces Denmark’s position as a top destination for sustainable investment. As the only Northern European country with companies in the top 10 - and with a total of 6 companies in the Top 100 - Denmark is well ahead of its Nordic neighbours (Finland has 3, Sweden 2, and Norway 1).

The highest-ranking Danish company, Vestas Wind Systems A/S, takes third place globally and has remained in the top three since 2022. Meanwhile, Danish jewellery manufacturer Pandora A/S makes its first appearance on the list a number 48, reflecting a significant increase in its use of recycled gold and silver.
