New funding paves the way for the next generation of biotech leaders

Nucleate Denmark recently announced that Novo Nordisk Foundation has funded the running of their Activator program for the next three years.
Tailored for academic participants, primarily Ph.D. students and early-stage Post-Doc researchers, the Activator Program spans over five months and serves as a catalyst for teams delving into entrepreneurial endeavours within life sciences. The program includes mentoring from leading field experts, and equipping the teams with tools necessary for life science company formation.

Comprising a sequence of eight bi-weekly workshops, the program systematically prepares the teams for a pitch competition and ultimately the founding process. The first edition of the Danish Activator Program is currently underway, involving six innovative projects, and will culminate in a Demo Day on the 12th of June 2024.

The program's immersive approach provides practical insights, forging connections across the cohort of upcoming biotech leaders. This approach advocates for an innovative, inclusive, and sustainable way of working, expediting the transformation of academic innovation into real-world ventures. The program has two parallel tracks: BIO, concentrating on therapeutic solutions, and ECO, focusing on solutions for planetary health. Hence, these parallel tracks both address some of the most critical challenges of our time.
