New Danish food partnership

A new showcase will place food products, ingredients, machinery and technology from the Danish food cluster clearly on the global map.

The Danish food industry enjoys a world-class community of knowledge, talents, investors and companies. The new initiative, Food Partnership, serves to market this to a global audience.

The Food Partnership is for the entire Danish food cluster and is being launched with funding from a number of large companies in the food area, as well as from the Confederation of Danish Industry and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.

The concept has been inspired by State of Green: a platform for showcasing and branding Danish green-tech solutions. The entire Danish food cluster will now have a similar strong, common platform which will strengthen collaboration and take the cluster to a new level.

Mette Hoberg Tønnesen, Special Advisor in Invest in Demark, is looking forward to the new partnership:

Denmark has one of the world’s leading food clusters. The new partnership will help highlight the development and innovation leading to a sector reaching far beyond the borders of Denmark hereby inviting foreign companies and investors to a place with more potential business partners, specialists, and investment opportunities than anywhere else in Europe. In this way the Food Partnership could potentially also serve to create both growth and jobs in Denmark.
