Denmark jumps to 4th place in Global Digital Readiness Index
Denmark has advanced from 12th to 4th place on Cisco’s Global Digital Readiness Index that measures how well-positioned countries are to take advantage of the benefits of digitization. Next to Singapore, Denmark has achieved the single largest increase of any country.
Denmark’s move up the ranks is largely due to a significant increase in the scores on ‘Technology Infrastructure’ and ‘Business and Government Investments’.
The significant investment in technological infrastructure by both private companies and public institutions over the past years is one of the main reasons that Denmark moves up the list. This is also something we see in connection with our business in Denmark, where we experience a great appetite for digital solutions – this spans the range from connected cities to production facilities
The index also shows that Denmark scores highest of all the 141 countries in the analysis on two of the seven components that the countries are measured on: Ease of Doing Business and Technology Infrastructure.
"This new analysis by Cisco confirms that Denmark is one of the world’s top locations for tech-activities. We offer a state of the art digital infrastructure and a world-class talent pool across tech areas. We see that a lot of foreign tech-companies have noticed that Denmark is a great place for tech-development and testing."
