Denmark joins the top of the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2021
Once again, Denmark joins the top of the most competitive economies. This year, Denmark is ranked the third most competitive economy in the world and second most competitive economy in the EU.
Recently, IMD World Competitiveness Centre released the new 2021 World Competitiveness Ranking. The ranking analyses and ranks the capacity of countries to create and maintain an environment, which sustains the competitiveness of enterprises. The overall ranking is based upon four main competitiveness factors: Economic Performance (#17), Government Efficiency (#7), Business Efficiency (#1) & Infrastructure (#3).

About IMD’s Competitiveness Ranking
The IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook asses how economies are able to generate long-term value for its citizens. It is the 33rd edition and this year’s ranking includes 64 economies worldwide.
