First and foremost, Denmark has streamlined the process of establishing a business with only four procedures needed at minimal costs. This results in a flexible, transparent and safe business environment. Second, the startup community enjoys high level of trust, which makes it easy to connect and share experiences with everybody. Third, due to a well-established educational system there are a lot of talented people as well as a growing scene of internationals. Lastly, you will get access to a buzzing environment with great accelerators, co-working spaces and investors that embodies the coolness of Scandinavia.

Drivers for economic growth

The 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Index measures a country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by combining individual data such as startup skills, risk acceptance and opportunity recognition with institutional measures, including urbanisation, education and economic freedom.

These measurements help distinguish self-employment and replicative entrepreneurship from the innovative, productive and rapidly growing entrepreneurial ventures that drive real economic growth.
