We are very proud to be the first carrier operating the state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft departing from Copenhagen. Our seasonal service to Copenhagen is the airline’s first route launch into Scandinavia in recent memory and the only non-stop service from Hong Kong to the Danish capital. Copenhagen will service the Scandinavian lands to its north. With enhanced inflight products, on-board Wi-Fi and advanced technologies to help our customers relax and enjoy their long-haul journeys, we remain committed as ever to help our customers live a life well travelled.
The Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Anders Samuelsen, is pleased to welcome Cathay Pacific to Denmark.
“Cathay Pacific's new route from Copenhagen to Hong Kong gives business travellers and tourists better access to Denmark, and Danes better access to the world. This is good news for Danish growth, exports and employment," says the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Anders Samuelsen.

Strengthening Copenhagen as a hub
“Cathay Pacific's route from the bustling city of Hong Kong to Denmark marks a milestone in Copenhagen Airports work to establish new routes. Hong Kong has been on the top of the list of un-serviced routes from Denmark. The new route will benefit both economic growth and tourism as well as offering a wealth of new and appealing travel opportunities. All our experience shows that a new direct route means even more travellers. This also applies to travellers from Hong Kong and the region as Cathay Pacific will be offering the possibility of choosing an award-winning airline, and we therefore expect the number of Chinese tourists in Denmark to grow," says CEO in Copenhagen Airports, Thomas Woldbye.
In recent years, Copenhagen Airport in particular has focused on attracting new long-haul routes.
In 2017, the number of passengers on long-haul routes grew by 6%, with 3,252,581 passengers flying on one of the 36 intercontinental routes that connect Denmark with destinations outside Europe. Last year, 18 new destinations were added to the route map.
