Rondo Energy is building the first European Rondo Heat Battery in Denmark
Rondo Energy, a leading company in delivering zero-carbon heat and power that replaces fossil fuels in industrial processes, has chosen Denmark as a flagship location for their first heat battery in Europe. This announcement of a large-scale thermal heat storage project in collaboration with GreenLab Skive will support the green transition and create jobs locally.
The California-based company Rondo Energy has developed an innovative technology that stores energy from renewable sources, such as wind and solar, and delivers it as high-temperature heat and power. This solution enables industries to replace fossil fuels with green, affordable energy, reducing carbon emissions while providing green heat at cost parity with fossil fuel-based heat.

The company’s latest announced project at the GreenLab industrial park in Skive, Denmark, is set to become operational in 2025 and will be among the largest in Europe.
