QunaSys has established its first overseas subsidiary in Copenhagen, Denmark

QunaSys, a leading Japanese company in the quantum computing field on its way to becoming a scale-up, has established its first overseas subsidiary, QunaSys Denmark ApS, in the vibrant city of Copenhagen. QunaSys is backed by a consortium of Japan’s leading funds & corporates, and chose Copenhagen as the ideal location due to its status as a growing hub for quantum technology in Europe. The investment is part of the company’s strategy to expand its global customer base, to secure talented quantum mechanics personnel, and to grow the quantum technology field in Europe.
QunaSys Denmark ApS is headquartered at Deep Tech Lab - Quantum, an accelerator space at Bio Innovation Institute, centrally located in the Copenhagen quantum eco-system. Deep Tech Lab — Quantum is an initiative for quantum tech start-ups and is also Denmark’s DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA)) accelerator.

“We are delighted that QunaSys has chosen Denmark as the location of their first overseas subsidiary, and Deep Tech Lab - Quantum as the physical location for their office. QunaSys is a valuable member of the quantum start-up ecosystem in Denmark and we look forward to facilitating their interaction with both the ecosystem and the start-ups that participate in our acceleration programs.”
Cathal J. Mahon Chief Business Officer at Deep Tech Lab — Quantum

The decision to establish a subsidiary in Denmark was met with strong support from both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and Copenhagen Capacity. The QunaSys investment in the Danish quantum hub is in line with Denmark's National Quantum Strategy aimed at fostering the growth of the quantum ecosystem within the country.

Invest in Denmark, as Denmark’s national and regional organizations for attracting foreign investment, provided QunaSys with valuable information about quantum technology and presented Danish strongholds, business opportunities and frameworks. In addition, QunaSys was assisted with a fact-finding trip in Denmark to understand the local ecosystem and also provided recommendations in talent recruitment by Invest in Denmark.
