Luftvejen relocates its drone services to Denmark

Luftvejen, a pioneering drone start-up from Ukraine, has marked a significant milestone by relocating its operations to Denmark in 2022. This move positions Luftvejen at the heart of Denmark's vibrant drone ecosystem.

Distinguished for its innovative automatic docking stations, Luftvejen sets itself apart by suspending these stations in the air, as opposed to conventional ground-based docking solutions. This aerial positioning allows for easier docking and enhanced safety for both small, medium, and large autonomous drones, even in varied weather conditions. With vertical and horizontal mounting options, Luftvejen's stations offer drone operators effortless connectivity and disassembly, significantly improving flight efficiency and reducing collision risks.

Why Denmark?

Since establishing its base in Denmark, Luftvejen has not only grown organizationally but has also made significant strides in refining its docking station technology. The Danish drone ecosystem has proven to be an ideal environment for such advancements. Key highlights include:

  • Odense Robotics: As part of the national cluster for robots, drones, and automation, Odense Robotics played a pivotal role in integrating Luftvejen into the Danish landscape.
  • Beyond Beta Accelerator Program: This start-up incubator program was instrumental in Luftvejen’s assimilation into Denmark's drone ecosystem, providing invaluable guidance and resources.
  • CenSec Incubator Program: The national defence tech cluster incubator supported Luftvejen's growth and consolidation as a start-up, contributing significantly to its development.
  • Academic Collaborations:Partnerships with the University of Southern Denmark in Odense and Denmark’s Technical University in Copenhagen facilitated important research collaborations, culminating in the development of an advanced docking station.
